Port Harcourt, also known as the capital of the River State is located on southern tip of Nigeria. Port Harcourt began service after the opening of the rail link to the Enugu coalfields in 1916 & today, it is one of the nation’s largest ports as it handles the export of palm oil, palm kernels, timber, coal, tin, columbite & peanuts. Since 1958, Port Harcourt has been the passage of oil from fields of the eastern Niger River delta. It is a bustling city, rich in local traditions.
